I will be purchasing a remote island off the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada
it is just 1/2 mile from the mainland
will be raising Karakul sheep, chickens, other assorted animals -
need someone with building cabin know-how, hand dug well, totally off-the-grid-!
but i have put this off for sometime -
this most certainly will be roughing it
100% self-sufficient!!! WARNING: NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART!

    Sounds like quite an adventure!

I hope you can find someone stalwart and trustworthy to share it. Have anyone vetted carefully!

    What a great adventure, obeliskone.

I wonder if you should take on more than one partner though, maybe some apprentices who would trade labor for room and board.

darius, will your truck get us there?

Sure, Shoe... and carry all our tools and belongings as well, but only to the dock!

Hah. Darn. Well, we'd probably need that truck on the island. I wonder how to get it over there.

    Sounds exciting though, eh?

If I had my way, obeliskone, I'd come up there several months out of each year. I wonder how many others would be interested in that. It would certainly help you get started.
