Yea, he is finally a permanent part of the family now. Phoebe just loves him as if it were her own baby. She rolls over so He can nurse. She plays with him constantly and just loves him so much. He gets pretty rough with his playing and jumping and his little puppy teeth have already connected a couple of times but all she does is pin him down and never has growled or barked at him. She is so gentle but firm with him. I will post a few pics.
He is doing so great. Now if I can only convince him that night time is sleeping time. Phoebe is great with him all the rest of the time but does get a little antsy when she is trying to sleep and he is grabbing her tail. She can still get back in the chair far enough that he can't reach her but it won't be long.
I have only had to pick up 3 poo poo's since he arrived, make that 4 hehehehe as I speak. He actually goes to the back door and scratches. Now thats a complete package in my book. A puppy that comes pre housebroken. Woo Hoo. He makes me laugh and soothes my heart when he sleeps in my arms. I guess I was missing my Sweet Wallace more then I knew. Babies have a way of mending broken hearts.
He is a handful though. Smart? you betcha. Fast? like a little nascar racer. Fussy? not a bit, he will eat anything and everything as long as he can get it in his mouth. He does have a different mouth, I must say. Its sort of like a little sharks mouth, teeth and all. But it is sort of shaped square and boxy like a shark. His little nose is so pushed back that he already snores to beat the band.
I think he is a keeper.
Well, he is a year old as of the 15th and look at this little boy now. 42 lbs and a stout healthy boy and He and Phoebe are still the best of buds.
He has out grown his dad and his mom. He was the biggest boy and the best looking of the litter. He is much more pug then beagle. The vet says he is more like 3/4 pug and 1/4 beagle.
That is because his mom was a puggle.
