Would anyone know what this plant is? Someone told me it was Telanthophora grandifolia. I'm not sure that species grows where this picture was taken: rain forest of Chiapas, Mexico, elev. appriox. 825 meter. Found growing in deep shade near a lagoon. Notice the all those bumps up the stems and petioles. Not shown here, but the flowers are supposed to be yellow, according to a local resident.
I thought it might be Bocconia, but the leaves of the plant in my pic. are not serrated like they are on some (all?) Bocconia species.
