This is Bandit named because of the black strip around his eyes,He or she is a blue I think, why do his wings stick out like that, they have been like that since he was born.He is very tiny compared to the other two he is with,he is one of the fish tank babies.

Can you find Bandit. They just know instictavly wihere to go to get warm, the crock of the arm or under his collar or under his shirt. The last silkie we had in the house was Jadee ,she was by herself and what a time we had trying to introduce her to other chickens,it was a nightmare, but at least there are three of these. It will be a long time before they can go out in the coop because of the cold, they have a dog crate that I will put them in and a heat lamp when its time and I will put the whole thing right in the coop and that way they can get used to everything and the others can get used to them.I sure wish I could have put them under Jadee out in the coop when they hatched but she would not have been able to keep all of them warm as they grew, she can hardly cover the 7 she has now they are getting so big.But they have a heat lamp and are inside the dog crate with the door open so they can come and go.When they get cold they start sreaming and she sits down and they get under her,the black hen that has 4 takes hers in the nesting box as night and they have a heat lamp over there food and water and they spend time there.

Fish tank babies got moved to there new home today. This will be the home that will go out in the coop with the other silkies when they get a few weeks older. This will make the transision easier on them. They can stay in the crate for a few days and get used to the others and the others with them.

So sweet! Nice new home too.
I just moved my babies from their 10 gallon tank into a much larger 30 gallon reptile tank with screen lid. ( no Reptiles) lol! My little Silkies love their new "running room"!

I`m pretty sure Bandit is blind or very visually inpaired. When the other two come out of the crate this one holds back and just listens, and if I put it out it high steps and moves very slowly. Its ok in the crate becasue everything is in close quarters so it eats and drinks ok.When the others are out and I through bread on the floor they run and get it and Bandit just stands there.Don`t know what I will do when its time to put them in the coop.Any one here had a blind chick or chicken?
