Thanks for the article. I lost one poinsettia because it was water logged.
Now I drain them, and let them go almost dry in between waterings.

Yep! Poinsettias are happiest when allowed to dry completely between waterings. I keep them slightly more moist when propagating cuttings, but even there - dry is better.
