Most of our SF Bay Area tap water now contains chloramine, instead of plain chlorine. Unlike chlorine, it does not evaporate from water left overnight. It kills fish and amphibians, and expensive filters must be used for scientific labs and kidney dialysis patients. So our tap water has become worse then ever for plants.
