I enjoyed your article. Decades in CA instilled in me a love of cilantro. I grew it in my herb garden last year and is did well but bolted early here. I'm going to try again this year. I love salsa verde with lots of cilantro for my Mexican dishes, cilantro pesto for my Italian cooking, and putting it in soups of every kind.

Nice photos too!

I always thought it bolted easy. One year I gave in and did not start it from seed but bought a start at Lowes. It must have been a different variety. It was very slow to bolt --- stayed pretty small and nice most of the season untill I was tired of it before it went to seed. I don't know what kind it was though. Sorry .
