This winter has been strange to say the least, but I only have 2 complaints.
#1. Amount of oil we used from Jan. 10 to Feb. 10th was high due to zero snow cover.
#2. MY POOR PLANTS!!! Heaving, freezing, then warming up to 45...they are VERY confused!!!
Even the house plants are ...my SHAMROCK is blooming a full month early! ^_^
Keeping me company and making the time fly are these 2 FAIRY PRINCESS'S .
And of course my handsome Grandson who has been trying out his freedom. Charlie will turn a year next month and is determined to walk for his Birthday!! ^_^
Oh what cuties! One of my DDs pulled that thing of walking on their first birthday for the first time. It's the perfect opportunity. There's an audience all sitting around eating cake. We were so shocked and surprised, we didn't have the camera ready.
So Tarsha's team did well, but did not place 1st or 2nd which are the only ones who win. Still, she had a hard day but so much pride for her girls...you could see it beaming off her, and here's why.
Not one minute into the routine, an elbow or a knee connected with this young ladies head. No one knew but her...she never swayed, flinched or bowed her head. She pushed through the routine and only when off the floor did she hug her BF and swoon a little. That's when they saw IT...
I have to tell you this part, Tarsha would kill me if she knew I said anything.
When the cheerleader was being looked at by the nurse and the bump was growing at an alarming rate Tarsha started crying. The cheerleaders Mom had to console Tarsha, not her DD. Her DD was not crying but mine was sobbing!!!!! LOL
I have been getting strange cell phone calls everyday.. I called verizon to get it blocked and they said they can't because it is not a 10 digit number.. I googled it and there are other people getting this number and some are saying it is from out of the country and when I pick up it will transfer there call and use my minutes to make there call.. not sure if it's true.. but I never picked it up because it was so strange.. bad news is they call 4 or 5 times a day.. it's really annoying .. the number comes up as 923-46
Strange, but in a nice way...I've noticed all the weeds in my gardens...on TV last night, an allergy doc was saying those bothered by mid March allergens should start their meds now, because allergy season will be early & bad...
360 degree view of the night sky is unbelievable! Reminds me of a religion teacher telling us as kids that if we could perceive the beauty of the night sky entirely, it would kill us with awe. Guess having only a photo makes it safe to look.
One of the unfortunate things that I am sure the designers did not anticipate is that the east side of the north pool is always wet from the wind picking up the water from the fall and creating a spray. Feel bad for those with loved ones names on that side. Hope they address that.
Lovely photos Victor and im so glad families and loved ones have a place to go to mourn. I'm sorry it was so painful for you, small condolence that so many were feeling the same way. Thank you for sharing.
surprised mama did not make a seen - we had one that was up on a branch over a small river we kayak on - both mother and baby jumped in - baby started swimming next to my kayak and mom started wacking her tail on the water - pretty impressive the sound she could make
Hubby is getting a new cell phone and he NEVER transferred his pics from his old one...so I had to transfer them all...what a pain...there are some OLD pics on there like this one at our township's public gardens
Pics of little kids are even better than pics of our pets! so adorable.
If you see some of the Madonna and child paintings by old Dutch Masters, they show the same finger thing. I used to marvel at how my three kids looked like they were doing tai chi--choreographed movements of their arms and legs as they sat or lay down on their backs. Made me always wonder exactly what neurological connections they were forming.
Lots to catch up on here! Love the beaver pond shots, Bill! And Jen, that is a great shot of you and the kids, and that one of "M with 2 D's" is priceless! I also love that shot of your boys, Victor! And Ronnie, Dominic is a beautiful baby! I may have missed mentioning some others, and I don't mean to...just turning in for the night and hurrying a bit...
They were chained all through rehearsal dinner, it was funny. I smiled so much for 2 days, and gotta say still am with the baby on the way. Plus they're moving into their house today, and I get to go explore the garden.
sounds familiar ... good luck with the pachysandra.. been pulling it out for 8 years now.. tell them to dig deep and replace the soil.. pulling it is not good enough.. leave one little piece of root behind and it will grow right back
Awesome photos, Debi! Every shot had something really pretty, clever or unique in it. They are such a great-looking couple and it was clearly a very happy event for all! You looked beautiful in that dress too. So exciting about the baby! I love Celeste's idea of sending them a plant. You will have to give us their wish list or ideas of what will work well in their gardens. So happy for you all!
pink blooms, reticulated iris, daff's, pulmaria, and a bed with a bunch of daff's planted last year getting close - if you see the line where the daffs end it is all brown that is 25 wheel barrels full of dirt i spread yesterday - have a bunch of hosta that will go there.
was working in Port Murray today... along the musconetcong river .. the ducks were keeping me entertained.. some mallards & some other duck that I don't know what they were.. couldn't get a photo of them of course.. but they were black & white.. very pretty
this guy owned a mustang .. 1 of 18 made of it's kind.. or so he said.. Randy said it's well over 100 grand for it
Love that shot of you, Celeste! You look GREAT! Something...or someone...:)... Is really agreeing with you, Pal! So yeah, tell Brian he's great medicine! LOL
We'll be passing that way in about ten days. Beautiful country, huh?
Probably, I don't know when, though. We have been busy going to swim lessons, story-time at the library and kindermusik. her mommy is in Boston today at MIT recruiting for her employer. Very thankful for her job so Andy can stay at home with Cora.
Last night in Staunton, VA, we went to one of our favorite restaurants for a splurge night out, and we always pass this huge metal watering can in the medium park of gorgeous spring bulbs and pansies that is a memorial to a lady who must have been the beautification chairperson. On the other side of the flyover behind the watering can are enormous meat flower pots overflowing with colorful flowers. Here is a shot of the water can garden.
Interesting! We like Staunton. It has an interesting downtown. The restaurant is a renovated flour mill. The food is wonderful. It is always busy, but worth the wait. I realize a shortcoming in icab...you can't edit a typo or misspelling...like "medium" instead of "median" as i intended to write. LOL. After 2 pretty good days (fatigue-wise) i was so fatigued today I was aching all over. So, typing anything coherent was practically not gonna happen! It's 8:30 and I'm already tucked in bed. Goodnight all!
Hoping for a better day today, Louise! Victor, I can see why Gt. Barrington topped the list...one of my favorite towns, has Ward's Nursery, SOCO Creamery, a nice Thai restaurant, many nice little shops, Windy Hill Orchard...I try to get up there several times during the year...
Pretty funny about the hipsters. They should have ratings of the colleges that way. You have to go there, and if college isn't in session, you can judge by the number of fixer bikes that the hipsters own.
Hi everyone! We have landed and have been very busy unpacking and unleafing the beds. It has been in the 30s for our morning walks, and heading for the 20s in the next couple of days. What do you think will happen to these:?
Great family video, and clearly a lot of fun to sing these bombastic queen songs. Wish I had made a video of our three 1 year olds reproducing (hardly singing) the Beach boys Barbara Ann. Better than their renditition of Scuppers the Sailor Dog.
