Reflection part 9

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Show us your reflection shots. We came from here: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1116935/

I stopped to take some sunset shots at a pond a couple of weeks ago, and got a lot of nice reflection shots while I was at it. Here they are.

Those reflection shots intensify the beauty of the scenery. Fine fine job! Thank you Karen, for the new thread.

You're very welcome, and thank you, Lily, for your admiration. I posted a bunch more on the sunset thread. I have more from this same spot from the week before these were taken. They were taken with my cell phone, and are actually quite good, as my cell phone takes 8 megapixel shots.

Good on you for starting a new thread, Karen. I was only think about this reflections thread a few days ago. Nice shots, every one of them, but I particularly like the second to last.

Karen, I have one exception to your description of these shots.....nice???? Nice? These are spectacular! Boy that last one looks like a mirror! Thanks for the new thread and thanks for sharing your lovely photos!

Thanks for your lovely comments, Mary and Margaret. I was thinking of entering these three in a local contest. What do you think?

1 & 3 definitely. Maybe look at the horizon of #3 with a grid to see if it needs a touch of straightening. Good luck.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks for pointing that out Margaret. I'll have to fix it.

I wanted to post the pics I took with my Samsung Galaxy S II, but for some reason it's not working. I wanted to resize the pics, but my photo program won't recognize the file type or whatever. They won't show up in the album. I'll try uploading just one here and see what happens.

Okay, before I tried 5, but it didn't go through. They're all large files, and I can't seem to find a way to make them smaller. I'll try 2 this time.

Looks like I can only do 2 at a time, I guess due to the file size.

Karen, #1 and #3 get my vote, too. Those new ones are exceptional! Ooooohhh, I really like http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=9016537 and http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=9016544&extraimg=0.

Karen, they are all superb. Can't pick a favourite. It's like trying to pick a favourite tree in a forest.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

I know, right? Thanks. It's gonna be tough to pick ones I want to enter in an upcoming local photo contest and exhibit. I have a lot of others to look through as well.

Canadian Geese and their reflection.

Nice, LL.

I did not enter the contest. I wanted to enter 9 photos, and it took awhile to choose them, not just the ones you guys have seen. Anyhow, went to pay via Paypal, and it was $10 each. I knew the entry fee was $10, but I didn't know it was per photo, and maybe none of them would be picked, and then I'd be out a bunch of money. Anyhow, I was too tired last night and went to bed. Yesterday was the last day to enter, and I forgot about it. Too late now. Oh, well.

Here are a few pics from this past summer of reflections on wet sand at Nantasket Beach. The two dogs are Patches and Jerry. Patches is the one with all the spots. The people are my Dad and myself.

Lily_love, that's such a nice scene. It's so tranquil!
Karen, I particularly like the last one. The horizon is almost invisible and the reflection is great.

Thanks, Miss Mary!

Karen, I love all your photos. I just don't say it often enough. Thank you for having shared your photo with your dad and Patches and Jerry with me and others.

Thanks, Lily! I love sharing them. Nice shot of the geese. We got very warm here, about 71, and broke a record. I was in the yard working from about 10 till 6, with a few breaks. I got soooo much done.

Karen, I'm glad to hear you've had a nice day. The weather is quite unpredictable. It has been drizzling all day, then it ended in a nice calm non-windy evening as the still water image shown. The forecast is calling for high 50'ish at night, high 70's to low 80's the entire next week down here.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Moon, here are the two Oaks in question, hah. Just portion of 'em. Forgive of the OT please everyone.

Ok, last one for the evening of the reflecting sky on still water.

I like that last shot of with the weeping willow.

Karen

Well, that last one really is romantic! So pretty, with the pastel sky reflected in the water and the lacy willow hanging like a fine lace curtain!
