You're very welcome, and thank you, Lily, for your admiration. I posted a bunch more on the sunset thread. I have more from this same spot from the week before these were taken. They were taken with my cell phone, and are actually quite good, as my cell phone takes 8 megapixel shots.
Karen, I have one exception to your description of these shots...nice???? Nice? These are spectacular! Boy that last one looks like a mirror! Thanks for the new thread and thanks for sharing your lovely photos!
Thanks for pointing that out Margaret. I'll have to fix it.
I wanted to post the pics I took with my Samsung Galaxy S II, but for some reason it's not working. I wanted to resize the pics, but my photo program won't recognize the file type or whatever. They won't show up in the album. I'll try uploading just one here and see what happens.
I did not enter the contest. I wanted to enter 9 photos, and it took awhile to choose them, not just the ones you guys have seen. Anyhow, went to pay via Paypal, and it was $10 each. I knew the entry fee was $10, but I didn't know it was per photo, and maybe none of them would be picked, and then I'd be out a bunch of money. Anyhow, I was too tired last night and went to bed. Yesterday was the last day to enter, and I forgot about it. Too late now. Oh, well.
Here are a few pics from this past summer of reflections on wet sand at Nantasket Beach. The two dogs are Patches and Jerry. Patches is the one with all the spots. The people are my Dad and myself.
Thanks, Lily! I love sharing them. Nice shot of the geese. We got very warm here, about 71, and broke a record. I was in the yard working from about 10 till 6, with a few breaks. I got soooo much done.
Karen, I'm glad to hear you've had a nice day. The weather is quite unpredictable. It has been drizzling all day, then it ended in a nice calm non-windy evening as the still water image shown. The forecast is calling for high 50'ish at night, high 70's to low 80's the entire next week down here.
