Does anyone have one of the plastic models? I've had this one for 3-4 years and am less than pleased. It works fine for things like lettuce and carrots but when we plant beets the plate wants to jump off ever so often leaving you to dump the hopper before you can get it back on. And planting peas yesterday was a total disaster. Plate kept jumping off and after planting three rows we ended up planting the old fashioned way because it would drop seed for a foot and then not drop for three. Ended up taking all afternoon just to get the peas planted. Irritated to say the least.
Is there a trick or secret I'm missing to get this thing to run properly?
