Thanks for all the great memories (good and bad) that came flooding back from my childhood, after reading your article!!! Great job with the pictures!
I used to get really sick every winter, from 2nd grade till 8th grade...I'd be in the hospital for 3 weeks every single winter during those years...kidney problems, you see...
But even so, it didn't stop me from being outside and enjoying the winter activities, once I'd get better, of course...or before I'd get sick...lol
Anyway, one of my favorite winter activity, was when my father or my brother (who was 10.5 years older than me) would pulling me in the slay, on our street, or sit behind me on the slay and slide down a hill...so much fun we used to have, for hours and hours on end...and it's very sad to see kids these days being glued to their iPads or whatever other gadget they may have...
