On a second look I see that my ant has longer antennae and, of course, is snowphilic. Yours is perhaps a different species but certainly still in the same genus. Perhaps Formica brevifeeleris or F. tennessiensis.

I think it is probably F. tennessiensis, but you're correct...same genus.
