This is a great idea on so many levels ... it's frugal, incorporates recycling and repurposing materials, provides for our feathered friends. These would make great gifts too. My wire was a bit heavier than I would have liked, but it was on hand and made for a sturdy construction,just a little difficult to shape. It turned out good and the wire is heavy enough to support a clinging bird though...you have to take that into consideration. I've already had a few house finches and titmouse selecting things from it and it is fun to watch!
