This lady is related to a friend of mine...thought i would share in case anyone is interested.
"Give A Heart" project
I'd be in - would we send the heart to you? Should it be backed and quilted as a heart shape? I'm afraid I didn't understand the requirements too well...
Glad you asked those questions Barb as I keep thinking about this after reading the post. I very much would like to do this in memory of family members and friends but definitely need so more instructions.
Roni, could you get us as much info as you can. You might be surprised at the response you will get from this group.
I just talked to my friend and she said it is to be heart shaped, backed, quilted and finished edges....each heart should be able to stand alone without being sewn to another....due by 4 July....smallest size 2 X2 largest 8.5 X 11...
I will hear back from her in the morning about which address is best for us to send them to. I will post as soon as I hear...Thank so much!!!!!
Okay so maybe I am slow but explain more about "stand alone". Are they to be finished like a Christmas ornament that could be hung? Would love to do some but really not clear on attaching so far.
yes I think that is exactly what she means! all finished edges...not like sending
blocks to complete a quilt, just hearts to decorate with....
Got it!!! We make them like an ornament-finished on front and back!!! Should we stuff them or puff them out at all? I'm going to look at fabrics in the morning.....

Thanks Roni. I, too, have some work to do now.
Boy, I'm glad someone else asked all my questions for me!! LOL
When I'm finally near a sewing machine and have my obligations fulfilled this will be added to my list "I'd like to do this too!"
