SOLVED: Plant ID

Maben, MS(Zone 7b)

Have a plant that it about 2' tall, came out of a wildflower mix and is a bianual has pinkish blooms that look simular to sweet william and the seed pods look simular to wall flower seed pods. It is a nice plant have seed and would like to know the name.
Thanks
Ruth

If its like Sweet William then it sounds like its in the Dianthus species, there are over 300 different species.

Thanks Baa, I guess I could just call it a unknown Dianthus.
My sister and I figured it must be some kind of dianthus, but just wondered because the seed pods were long.

A lot would depend on the flower shape. It is a single flower? Are the petals deeply cut or just fringed?

Maybe someone has it in their garden as my knowledge of American wildflowers is severely limited.

The flowers are in clusters and look like Sweet William and the leaves are like Sweet Willaim except larger.

The seedpods sound like it could be dame's rocket - http://davesgarden.com/plants/go/81.html The sweet william foliage makes me think of soapwort http://davesgarden.com/plants/go/171.html Either one might be something you'd find in a wildflower mix.

Might be the Dame's Rocket. The color isn't the same, does it come in different colors?
Ruth

It is Dames's Rocket thanks so much for your help.
