I loved your article and your pictures! I am trying onions for the first time but I planted them at the wrong time of the year! They are in 2 large plastic buckets with good potting soil. Our soil is very dense, full of clay, and I didn't have room in my raised beds for them. Anyway, I hope they grow but if not, I suppose I can use them for green onions. Your article taught me several things such as the correct spacing for them and to not over water, so thanks for that! Wishing you good luck with your garden. Janet
