Biv, kanuallc said it all, I'm still working on the shutter ideas, I picked an old 4 drawer bureau that I plan to remove the bottom 3 drawers, add some shelves, beat up some shutters for doors & paint with crackle paint.

Ifantail, your old bureau sounds wonderful. Be sure and post a picture so I can drool over it. An old TV stand from the 60's, that looks like a tea cart belonged to my mother and when she asked if I wanted it of course I didn't have to think twice about it. DH. put a backing on it and put in a shelf and it is sitting in my living room. No doors, but I think I will have to have one now.

WOW!!

@ bivbiv! I just checked out the link you posted for the salvaging doors. It's awesome and I "bookmarked" it on my computer so I can come back later and look at the other cool areas of interest all below the comments. Thanks for sharing! And you're right ~ it does have Ifantail's name all over it! LOL !! :) I could envision him doing something like that with a door.

Bye for now ~

Fleur, the only thing I ever did with a door was to use it for a yard sale sign, an inspector from the county would go around picking up signs because they were on county property, I wish I were there when he tried to stuff that door in his trunk. Ha ha!
