My tenants were growing these flowers a few years ago and I am trying to find out what they are so I can replicate the look in my front yard...I now have no way of reaching them. This photo was taken in late November of 2009 in Nashville, TN. As you can see from the photo, the plant the orange ones grew on was fairly tall (4-5 feet) with deep orange colored flowers hanging at different heights. The pink flowers wound up growing rather tall as well and had a single bloom on each plant (from what I recall). Any help would be greatly appreciated!
The orange ones are Cosmos sulphureus ('Bright Lights' is one of the cultivars). http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/218/ Very easy to grow from seed. And the pink ones are zinnias - many cultivars available.
