Very nice shots, Victor! You have probably already said what the hotel was, but I'm hopelessly behind in the threads. Looks very nice.
Thanks all for the welcome homes! Am having a very bad return of nausea today for the first time in 3 weeks, so I guess I need to slow down. My Dr calls this "medical nausea"...whatever that means. I just know it is hard to know when you will be hit with it since it has a delayed response to the trigger of pushing too hard. Strangest stuff I've ever seen, but at least my antibodies are down so the attack has stopped for now. Just itching to get back outside. I didn 't cover anything last night. Think the heucheras and other newbies will make it?
Thanks, Jan and Marilyn. Most days my spirits have been high. Not so much today. Tomorrow is another day though. I'm relieved to hear that you think my pretty heucheras will make it, Marilyn. These temps are colder than we usually come back to. I'm determined to be back out there tomorrow. :)
I used to go to South Beach before it became what it is today. That was in the "old days". LOL
Went to air show at MacGuire AFB yesterday, I couldn't see my screen on the my camera so had no idea if I was even getting any pics, so of course got one of the gorgeous sky, oh yay, got some planes and 2 of the Thunderbirds...they are so AWESOME
Oldest DGD is turning out to be quite the sports star... plays v. soccer, v. basketball and now is on the varsity softball team. She's one of two 6th graders who made varsity, and the only one to pitch a full game.
Ok...i give up on using icab to upload photos. Not only are they distorted, you also can't upload many at a time because the network times out. I contacted the developer, but he claims that DG has the problem with their server. You just can't win!
glad I didn't get it yet Louise.. DG has been having problems.. even though they say it's our file sizes.. and we need to downsize them.. I haven't changed any of my equipment and didn't have a problem before.. and now do.. but they say it's us... BAH
they can get taller then 10' - there is one here at a nursery that looks to be 12' now - have been tempted to ask pricing as they have had it a few years now and it is back in the almost dead tree area they have and the burlap is gone. the tree still looks great. i will pass on it though since the one i have is pretty large now and need to save space of others.
Mine was about 6 feet in 2009.I paid just under $400. for it. SIL and DD planted it and its not going to be relocated. The rootball was in a 2 bushel tub.We picked it up in a trailer. The grower was 86 at the time. His property is still there but I cant believe he is still alive.
Went to a historic village today and they had a reenactment of a wedding that took place in 1836 of the wealthy businessman(steam engine and boiler maufacturer) that owned this property
changed some pics to black and white
my daughter petting the horse
the gardener's cottage and the garden(kinda sad looking)
Few shots of Maine...yes Allison the lupines grow like weeds on the side of the road here.
1 & 2) Lupines along the road
3) Field of buttercups
4) Mountains in the distance
5) Canadian Geese ~ counted over 50 of them.
Rolling hills. Any hills are nice. Where I live is soooo very flat. My mom and I would sometimes cross the bridge into Delaware just to drive around and find some hills. I liked to follow a road to see where it ended up.
Those bird shots are magnificent! Love the Maine beach shots...never saw a sandy beach in Maine...sounds like a wonderful walk, Celeste. Leah and Dominic are two beautiful babies! Debi, I love Leah's little outfit! How do you tear yourself away? Completely agree with Marilyn and Jen about Flat Florida! I am always chomping at the bit to get back to the hills and trees and mountain brooks! I'm sure I was born here in another life! :)
oh that's nothing.. we have the lake community between that spot & our house... off to the right... the hill behind us blocks it though.. they do there own show.. even though it's illegal in NJ.. those crazy lake people are setting off mortars all around it.. and we have a few crazy neighbors close by as well.. but they were quiet last night.. I am assuming they will be at it over the weekend... sooo glad Jily got over being scared of them .. everyone was good.. Hope was barking some towards the end.. I just kept reminding her it's ok.. and she settled down
the first year Randy and I moved in and it was the 4th.. we were beside ourselves how loud it was up here.. just giggling that we moved in with crazy people
I have the original iPad, have never gotten the distortion with iCab, but could only post 2 pictures at a time. After the last iTunes update, I was able to post 3 from iCab. Did you get the newest OS and try again?
FYI, since the last update, Safari crashes all the time even when I close all the apps. So following links to photo sites gets really frustrating. Is there a perfect solution for all of us?!
Pam, Safari works fine for me, but after I loaded the recent update on icab, now even distorted photos won't post. My laptop just gave up the ghost so I'll be replacing it very soon, thanks to my son and my hubby! Then it will be easier to post shots from my camera.
Thanks, Allison! Hope your foot is being nice to you today!
I am going back for the x-ray wed.. I am so bored.. just sitting here.. but it is feeling better and my little voice keeps yelling at me to go sit down.. so I do.. the boot is way better than crutches .. can't believe this thing really works
Thanks, Marilyn. We bought my new laptop today (birthday present from Hank and Mike:) but I won't pick it up until Thursday because we need to get some software from Mike to load onto it. They are viewing 65 as a "big" birthday...lol...and they think I've gone long enough without a computer for posting my DG photos. So stay tuned for an avalanche of pics soon lol.
Allison, you are very smart to let the healing happen! Good girl! :)
...and yes, Victor...65 is definitely the new 40...ish, at least!
I'll get you for that, Bill!
Robin, your Mom had it right...except it did feel pretty strange to have to use my medicare card for the first time this week when I got my blood work done.
Jen, that doesn't look good...sure you weren't celebrating the Fourth a bit the night before that showed up? :)
Pixie, that was one fun party...glad we all carpooled and got there in time! My fav thing was the kiddy pool, after I pushed all of those darling kids out!
We had a birthday party for our 4-yr-old DGD tonight. I just can't get enough of her...she is everything you would want in a granddaughter! I can't even imagine that she is not my biological granddaughter! Photos later. :). We are peas in a pod!
This is Tiffany and her little family, Michael was in a wedding Sat. and they finally got a shot of all of them together.
Charlie in his sisters room causing chaos and havoc.
How to keep him still.
