Anyone have any experience creating invitations? I am looking for a coffee themed invitation for a rehearsal dinner... I kinda know what I want, but I am not sure how to set it up (what program to utilize, etc) or how to accomplish the printing. The one I want has a mostly brown background? Should I just purchase ivory or white cardstock and try to set the background as brown when I set it up? or do I try to print on brown stock? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I am on a big time crunch and don't really have time to mess up several times!
Also, any great sources for card stock and envelopes at a reasonable price??
You could use any number of programs to make invitations. I use My Digital Studio 2+ from Stampin' Up!® and export the pages to .jpeg files, which I then insert into a Microsoft Publisher™ greeting card template. I do this when I don't have time to wait for the professional printing service through My Digital Studio. Microsoft Word™ also has greeting card templates. When I'm done with my design, I print on card stock, then flip the sheet and print on the other side so that I get two invitations from one sheet. And I only have to fold once, instead of twice.
