I've been stumped for *years* on what this is. Bought it in a pot at a garage sale years ago. I'm in central Texas. Every March, it puts out flower stalks and blooms profusely -- not much happens the rest of the year. It reproduces vigorously -- "pups" sprout off the larger plant. Any clues? Many thanks!

Many thanks to you both! I was amused by the "friendship plant" phrase in the description -- it certainly has cranked out enough babies to share with everyone I ever met...

Carol, I'd be happy to trade with you for some babies. I have one that blooms pink, but doesn't have any other colors, like yours does. Just dmail me your 'wish' list and I'll see if I have it.
