    Hi,
This has popped up in one of my flower beds and it's already about 32" tall. Before pulling it out I decided to take some pics and try to find out what it is. Even though it has pretty flowers it looks like a weed to me.

The flowers are actually lavender with a yellow center. They came out looking white in the pictures, probably because of the bright sun. The flowers are about 3/4" across. The flower buds kind of hang or dangle, but seem to get more upright when they bloom.

The longest leaves are about 5" long and the stem is very hairy.

Weeds this year have been unreal from the early and strange Spring. It's almost impossible to keep up with them.

Thanks in advance to any of you that might be able to help!!

Fleabane (Erigeron sp.) - weed or wildflower, it's up to you.

    Thanks Tom!!
I guess it'll depend on how aggressive it is. Maybe I'll just transplant it far in the back of the yard along with other things I didn't plant. It looks like something the bees & butterflies might like.

I'd be real careful about deadheading if you keep it. It's all over my yard and I've never let it flower.

    Wow, thanks, microbiology1!

In that case I think I'd better get rid of it right away. I'm having enough problems with weeds & invasives.

    Thanks for your help, TomH3787 & microbiology1...
I decided it would be best to remove the plant & dug it out this morning. Only time will tell if it starts growing again.
