Need Hosta photo 'Dictionary'

Windsor, CA(Zone 9b)

I haven't posted on this forum for a long time but still have lots of Hostas. They have been moved around alot and name tags have been lost or placed on the wrong plants. I am organizing photos into folders but I am sure 1/3d of them are wrong. I used to go to a site that had pics of every hosta but cannot remember what it was. I would like to get the photos better organized if possible and need photos to do that. Please guide me to a good site. Many thanks. Muito obrigado. Xuling And PS. Can the HIV disease just suddenly appear? I think some of my hostas look funny, different from normal.

It can take years for an HVX infected hosta to show signs of the disease.

So, YES, your symptoms can appear suddenly.

The link to the Hosta Library is good, but only if you know the name. Do you have the Color Encyclopedia of Hostas? If not, buy it or get a copy from the library. It lists plants by colour group.

Thanks for all the info. Xuling

This is a link to an online version of Don Rawson's Hosta lists. He is the creator of the hosta Rhino Hide. He has 83 different lists for all types of hosta.

You can usually find his printed version of it and his Hosta Hybridizers manual at the Hosta Library Auction.
