I received this daylily from Spring Hill labeled as Double Firecracker. It obviously is not. The first time it bloomed, it was single, then a few days later, it had 2 double blooms.
It is a very small bloom (about 3 inches with a short scape). It is blooming in May so it is a mid-season bloomer. Not fragrant and is diurnal. It is purple with lighter edges and has a green throat, fading to yellow.
Does anyone know what it might be ????

Many double dayliles will produce single flowers only, at the start of the season or in cool weather...it looks like 'Double Firecracker' to me.

According to the AHS, Double Firecracker has a 5" bloom. This one is 3" or less.

You stated that you just planted it...the fact you have a bloom is pretty good, don't be so hard on it if it hasn't met up to it's size yet. Give it some time .
