Here is a little mystery for you good folks. As you can see the flowers look almost like they are plastic. They measure 1 1/2" across and have no scent. The seed capsule is distinctive and about 3/8" long. The leaves are 1" long, smooth, narrowly lancolate with a faint center midrib on the bottom. It grows open and upright, blooms heavily now, but looks scrubby and spindly in winter. Any ideas?

Can you show more pictures? Leaves, flowers, fruit?

What habitat is it growing in?
