Saw this thing it was just under an inch long (body not legs). Just wanted to make sure we have nothing deadly near us. I went outside to see it and it seemed to be carrying something under its body a wasp I think. It droped it when I scared it and it ran away from the door.

It's more scared of you than you are of it!!

These 'wolf spiders' are very common, not dangerous to humans. I've certainly been stung by wasps (its possible prey) than spiders.
