These are shots of a scrub jay my daughter is rehabilitating. She volunteers at a local wildlife rescue and this is the month for baby birds in trouble. This little guy was caught by a cat and is being given antibiotics. He will soon be reunited with his mother.

I'm glad that the cat wasn't successful. Hoping the little one will survive.

What a sweet little thing and I am glad he is ok. The Scrub jay is a bird my youngest hopes to see some day, but we'll have to travel to do so.
