Wednesday a storm cell developed right on top of me and kept getting bigger and bigger and not moving .. got 2.78 inches of rain in 2 hours! Torrential really wasn't a good enough word for what got dumped on me! By the time it was finished my rain gauge was sitting at 3.6 inches. The clouds finally cleared out that evening but came back in the morning and got more rain .. only a half an inch this time .. it's been cloudy ever since and raining off and on and I'm really missing the sun! Plus when I got up this morning it was 58 degrees! It's around noon now and we're still in the mid 60's.

All the mole/vole tunnels are making the yard a squishy kind of quicksandy thing. I'm having to wear my Wellies because it goes up to my ankles!

On a brighter note, I went to Wal-Mart today to check the Death Racks and came home with 1 dollar gerbera daisy plants with Mother's Day stuff on it. What a deal!

Great buy! I can't resist a clearance rack either. Enjoy the damp, cool weather and clouds. As you know, once that summer switch is turned on, we'll have 3 - 4 mos of unrelenting intense heat and humidity. I'm already looking forward to Oct!

I'm about 12 miles outside Charleston Ardesia, and we got nary a drop. The rain patterns seem to be very confined/local lately. Some areas get flooded, close-by areas get nada. It's not at all unusual for me to leave my house praying for rain, to run into HUGE puddles and wet pavement 1/4 mile away (as the crow flies) at the Main Road/Rt 17 intersection. But we got zilch. And remain dry. Absolutely crazy!

You would think that buy living in an area with water around it you'd be getting a lot of rain!
