    The seed was taken from a mystery tree in Florida and my brother grew them. This is only the first year and it is already blooming. Can someone please identify it?

    Also reminds me of Leucaena leucocephala. Definitely family Fabaceae, subfamily Mimosoideae.

    Darwiniensis, I think you may have the ID right and will pass this info on to both my sister and brother. It is classified as a Category I invasive tree in FL, so my recommendation is that they be destroyed. Thank you!
