    Have asked the local nursery but they do not know what is causing the leaves to curl up tightly and inside is tiny white oval things - the only remedy I have is to remove affected leaves - has to be checked constantly. Is anyone else dealing with this?

    Thank you for the responses. I will check out the midge gall and here are pictures of the curled leaves and one of them uncurled to show the white dots - there were also black smaller dots today, which I had not seen before...

    It is hard to see the second pic. but I think we are on the right track with midge gall and leaf rollers. The black dots may well be droppings from rollers.
