This pair of beautiful birds is nesting in my niece's garden about 30 miles away. I have never seen anything like them. She is asking my help to id. I have no idea. Any help?

The first photo is of the female; other 2 are views of the male. Certain this is a pair for they are nesting.

Summer Tanager; first is an immature male (1 year old), the next two are adult males.

Resin, I don't understand. These birds can be observed (NOW) sharing nesting duties.

Ooops! Checked up, adult females and immature males can be very similar in appearance (sorry, forgot this at first!).
