EDIT_this is 'HOT SUMMER' not the seed grown 'SUMMER SUN'

The photos are a little washed out. The colors on this plant are great so far. The bloom open a nice peach/orange color and change to red. There is some petal distortion. The plant was purchased as a gallon last fall and has come back strong this year.. nice and large/healthy. Now if i could just get the goldfinches to stop pulling petals!

Good to hear NEVERMORE44 as I planted several of these same coneflowers last August and they all survived their first winter but none have yet flowered.

This plants gets better and better. You can really see how it changes to a nice red. I did actually see gallon pots of this at Lowes over the weekend for $10 too.

My plant has gotten off to a slow start, it was just a plug but I am hoping it will do better when I finish my new flower bed. I would like about three more, great color!!
