Thanks Darius,

I only meant if anyone has an opinion, question or more information to add, also I want to add a bit more info and see if, in the possibility of not being able to buy books for any reason, not only economic, with the information we can gather here may help us in the future.

Any way, par example, today is Root vegetables day and:

ROOTS are associated with Earth signs (Capricorn, Taurus, Virgo)

Root vegetables are divided into : Tap Roots, Tuberous Roots, Corms, Rhizomes, Tubers, and bulbs.

Tubers differ from other roots in that they are swollen underground stems, capable of producing new plants and
storing energy for the parent plant. If the parent plant dies, the underground tubers can create new plants. Other roots can take nutrients from the ground, but cannot store energy or use it for reproduction. So while every tuber is a root vegetable, not all roots are tubers.

Tubers = Potato, sunchoke, yam

Tap Roots = beet, carrot, cassava, jicama, parsnip, radish, rutabaga, salsifi, sugarbeet, turnip. Horseradish is a tap root mainly use as condiment.

Tuberous Roots = Sweet potato, yucca.

Corms = Celeriac, eddo, taro, water chestnut.

Rhizomes = Arrowroot, galangal, ginger, ginseng, lotus root, turmeric.

Bulbs = garlic, onion, spring onions ((also known as scallion, salad onion, onion stick, green shallot, or green onion in many countries), shallot, leeks, chives...

ROOTS are associated with Earth signs (Capricorn, Taurus, Virgo) These included all plants whose roots we harvest: carrots, beetroot, celeriac, garlic, radish, swedes, potatoes, radish, rutabagas ,sweet potatoes , turnips, parsnips and onions.

~ Sow on rootdays, preferably with a waning moon (because they are underground)

~ Fertilize during a waning moon, for better absorbtion

~ Harvest and store on root days when the moon is descending, (because the crop is under ground). Alternatively harvest on root days with a waning moon and they will last for a long time.

June 12 - 13 - 14 above ...

LEAF days are associated with the water constellations (Pisces, Scorpio, Cancer) Water signs are favourable for leaf plants.

Choose leaf days for salads, leaf herbs (mint, basil), Asparagus, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbages,Celeriac, Celery, Chicory, Chinese Cabbage,Dill, Kale, Florence Fennel, Kale, Lettuce, Rhubarb, spinach, Swiss Chard, as well as grass or non flowering hedges.

I also sow / plant broccoli, cauliflower (both flower day vegetables) and leeks and chives (root vegetable) on leaf days because for me they do produce better, that is the cauliflower is large and do not change colour to go into flower for much longer, the same happens with broccoli, chive - sleeks will do the same.

Plant or prune (hedges) during a descending moon (sap is drawn to the roots).

Sow leaf - plants when the moon is waxing, ideally on leafdays

Fertilize when the moon is waning, (when the earth is inhaling) and ideally on a leaf-day.

Harvesting is normally best when the moon is ascending. However, to store your leaf harvest, use fruit or flower days, as the watery element present on leaf-days is NOT good for storing / harvesting.

I have sown some stocks on a leaf day. I will be posting the results later on the "results" thread, as the ones that I have purchased in the nurseries and garden centers always have very little leaves and never last very long. I am thinking that they do not have enough leaves...so I have some sown on a flower day and other on a leaf day...I hope to share some good results regarding these two batches.

Fruit Days 15 - 16 June above:

Fruit Days
FRUIT are associated with the Fire constellations (Aries, Saggitarius, Leo) Warmth or fire signs are favourable for fruit plants. Use Fruit Days for all fruits (currant cranberry, strawberries, rasberries, apples, plums)...as well as all fruiting vegetables plants whose seed fruit we harvest: beans, peas, grains, cucumbers, squashes, lentils, corn, peppers, capsicums, rice, soya, tomatoes, courgettes, pumpkins. zucchini, strawberries and fruit trees.

~ Plant or replant the seedlings,

Prune fruit trees during a descending moon (sap is drawn down to the roots)

~ Sow fruiting vegetables on a waxing moon on fruit days

~ Fertilize fruit plants and vegetables (tomatoes,cucumber..) on a waning moon, whilst the soil is inhaling and absorbing, ideally on fruit days,

~ Graft fruit trees/shrubs and harvest fruits and fruiting vegetables for storage on an ascending moon (whilst the sap is rising, ideally on fruit days

YIKES!!! I just planted 10 tomato plants that I raised from seed on a WANING moon. I never seem to get this right. Now what do I do?

Before following calendars, I just planted according to the phase of the moon. That is everything above ground on a waxing moon, and all root plants on a waning moon. I did not realize that these need to be incorporated with the signs of the moon.

You can transplant them on the 3rd or the 4th July under Sagittarius fruit dayt. Before that date there is another possible fruit days but it is under Leo and I DO NOT recommend Leo ... you already know why, also it'll be better because you have some days in between for the little plants to recover. Or you leave them be and see how they go .

As I said sometime ago, transplantation is like giving the plants a second chance, and because you will transplant them on a Fruit day on a Waning Moon they will get the biodynamic benefit ...

Or, I repeat, you leave them be and see how they go.

Flower Days

FLOWER are associated with AIR signs (Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius), flower plants. include all the plants which are grown for their flowers, and where we want a long flowering time.

I cannot give you personal experience about peanut, I have never grow them.

But if I was going to plant them, I will use root days on Aries or Saggitarius moon. Peanut produce their fruit underground and that is where you will have to send the growing force and not to the top of the plant/ tree as you would when you use a fruit day for planting..
