Can anyone identify what pest would eat holes in my knockout rose leaves and what to treat it with?

This is really a "bump" reply, as I'd love to know what's doing this. I have a lot of snail/slug problems. My perennial garden backs up to a stone wall... But the snails/slugs have never attacked my roses. Other ideas?
