Not only are they beautiful, most of them are DEER AND RABBIT resistant! That is one reason I am planting them. Herbs also seem to survive , no one likes their strong smell. I am in the process of turning my yard into a small prairie, because I like it and it requires less care once established and at 71 that is something to consider. Hopefully, with all those grasses, herbs and prairie plants, no one can find my tomatoes, cucumbers and other vegies.
