Hi All, Just moved into a property and trying to sort our garden out, came across two bushes. The first two pictures are what look like blueberries but when ive searched on the internet the leaves on the tree look different, also the berries are move oval shaped. The last two pictures are what seems like gooseberries but again from images ive seen on these the bush also looks different. Any ideas, dont wanna start making jam with these just yet!

Could your first shrub be some sort of grape holly (Mahonia)? The second one definitely looks like gooseberry to me.

I agree. First is a Mahonia, maybe Charity or Arthur Menzies and the second is Gooseberry.

the shrub is probably mahonia japonica, it will flower yellow around January and has those blue berries. The other is definately a gooseberry.

I would suggest starting your own new thread with your pictures--more people will see them that way and you'll probably get a faster answer.
