This is my first year growing green peas. I know that you are supposed to pick them when the pods begin to swell. Mine are beginning to swell, but at what point do I pick them? Should the outline of the peas be large enough to actually see them in the casing? Thanks in advance.

Not really. Pick one and see if the peas look like what they are supposed to.
