This spring I started a new garden, using all new plants. I ordered about 20 new daylily varieties and planted them in pots because the new bed was not ready when they arrived. I was very pleased that all formed fans immediately. As soon as the bed was ready, I planted everything and stood back to watch.
Several of the new daylilies have developed yellow-brown leaves and a couple of them look downright sick. I cannot figure out what I've done wrong with them - I hope I don't lose them, but either way, I'd like to learn from the experience.
Does anyone recognize these symptoms and the cause? Too much water? Not enough water? I'm at a loss. 'Spacecoast' 'Little Girl' and 'Emerald Treasure' are all within a few feet of each other. Similar light, soil and watering, but two look sickly and one is healthy and producing bloom scapes.
