    Help,

My husband and I saw this spider coming from our skylight over the staircase. Does anyone know what type of spider this is? The body looks grayish and the legs are hairy and sort of brownish. I had my husband pick it up and save it between two pieces of tape for the exterminator this Thursday. (Sorry about the hair in the pic... we have a dog!)

    Thanks!

Possibly a Wolf. Kind of hard to tell for me. Wolfs hunt other spiders.

That's what I thought at first but the color is more gray just on the body and the legs almost look striped like light brown and dark brown. Yes, it's hard to tell because I made my hubby kill it before we took a pic. Thanks for your help, though!

Whatever it is, it is nothing dangerous to humans. Don't see why an exterminator is necessary.

Flapdoodle, the exterminator is not just for the spider in the picture. We recently moved into a home built in the 1950's and we have at least 3 different types of spiders and daddy long legs. I am terrified of spiders and these seem very unafraid of humans as we have found them in our blankets on the couch and on the ceiling above our bed (several times). I am also afraid of them crawling in the kennel with our dog. I understand some people don't think insects or animals of any kind should be killed but our home has been overrun with spiders and it is very scary. Thanks for your reply!
