Thanks, Paul. As always, very informative. I hear all sorts of myths about plants and caring for them in the nursery where I work part-time. One lady, for example, insisted that overhead sprinkling of her roses, at night, would not cause black spot BECAUSE she was using only well water! Needless to say, she lost about $500 in roses by putting her magical well water theory to the test.
Yup. Bad enough that parts of OKC have been hit hard by rosette disease. I'm sure there are folks out there using all sorts of ineffective home remedies rather than digging up and destroying their babies. I've not had any problems yet, but am sure that if it hits it will hit my expensive J&P climber first.
