    We had a really wet spring here last year and I lost quite a few tomatoes to BER. I never thought it might be a deficiency of some sort. I keep all my washed eggshells to repell slugs (which works a dream!) but I will definitely try boiling some for the tomatoes this year. Will let you know how it works. Thanks for the tip!
