We should all know this by now, because this kind of thing has been happening for more than 100 years already:
This is what happens when people import the "exotics" just because they will "look good" in the garden. A beautiful, showy garden can be had by using 100% NATIVE plants -- and your garden will be far better suited to the conditions of your region, too.
