have watched this plant for over 6 years now. . . no one seems to know what it is. We live in NE Texas. Looks like a yucca, but definitely has a different 'flower' The flower stalk is over 6' now. The flowers are about 4" total from stalk to tip of stamen.
Or Agave virginica if you want to be current, nomenclaturally. Some will call the former genus "Man-gave", as kind of a little joke and nod to the old name.
