Hi everyone. I am fairly new to clematis and have made a few purchases this year. Mostly type 3's and a few type 2's. I got Omoshiru after seeing the lovely pictures here of her! She is decent sized with 4 stems and growing away in it's gallon pot from Stargazer Perennials. I also got Betty Risdon from Klehm's, and Piilu from Silver Star..another huge one with 4 stems!
My question is about growing type 2's in zone 5. I have read that Piilu can be treated like a type 3 and will still grow and bloom. I'm not sure about Omoshiru and Betty R. Has anyone grown these in zone 5 and had the stems survive the winter?
