My two year old fig bush now has little 'immature fig" like green things- but I didn't think I had seen flowers, and vaguely remembered something unusual about fig structure. But no fear, because I thought, "I bet Diana has written a fig article..." Thanks for explaining the peduncles and now I will watch for later summer ripening as I expected!

Happy to report my Brown Turkey has come through two winters so far, not even losing branches. And I have one low branch 'bricked' to see if I can root it.
