Temps to rise to 102 today (40 miles north of Houston), just as they did yesterday... I can't even work in my garage with a fan blowing on me without going through 2 or 3 changes of clothes per day :) !
Really not good on the roses either...and I'm having to work on my drip system, as it seems an air relief valve at the front wants to keep leaking...
Roses taking it in stride, but they hardly look like they did earlier this year...
BTW, I have 3 cuttings that are looking great: one is Sweetness, and the other 2 are the Seven Sisters from my neighbor.
Last time I looked it was 104 here in Denton...I was outside this morning around 8 am and it was hot then..had to come inside around 10 and I have not been tempted to go outside again. I have a few roses blooming, but most are not doing anything.
It was 88 at 6:45 this morning and just got hotter. Had it not been for a brief thunder storm - no rain, just thunder - it might have been worse. As it was it made it to 103 with the usual humidity and still no wind.
