Last year I was told to use 1/2 cup dish soap in 1 gallon of water and spray that on your plants and it will remove the powdery mildew.
I did it and it did remove it but unless you get it all it comes back. Needless to say it came back but it did help give us a little longer growing period before the plants died.
Watering at the wrong time of day and getting water on the foliage can cause mildew to start.
