    I agree w/purpleinopp - it's a privet, probably Ligustrum sinense.

    while out pulling up poison oak and ivy- plus some Kudzu yesterday I came across a tree that has this same leaf pattern and texture- but I don't know what kind of tree it is- I have so many baby trees all over... Dogwood, Pecan, Apple, Pear, and of course Pine... those are the only ones I can identify though- lol... I am from North California- where I learned THOSE trees... still learning down here.

    thank you moon- I will book mark that- I am waiting for internet to be turned on at the house- it has been quite an ordeal- so until then I only have my STUPID smart phone which makes me want to pull my hair out most of the time- lol... so it has really slowed down the productiveness of the conquering of the yard. I have downloaded an app or 3 for identification- but none of them seem to be what I am looking for- not very helpful.
