This is a picture of a large pink rose whose name I don't know from last year. It was the first year it had been so spectacularly in bloom. We've had it for maybe 10 years. Then this year there were very few blooms. There wasn't a lot of difference in the climate conditions between last year and this year except that this year we had a week of very hot weather in March. Could that have done it? We figured that it had finally come into its own last year... but maybe not?

We don't tend to this rose. It's in a "wild" part of our property, growing in grass, not fertilized or fungicided.
