I just recently started keeping plants ( outdoor, indoor and aquarium plants). I joined the Arbor Day Foundation this summer and have since planted 22 trees and numerous flowers and bushes ( can't wait, my yard should look beautiful ). I also keep a 45 gallon fish tank with over 25 different species of plants. Anyways, my grandmother passed away last month and each family member got to keep some of the flowers/plants to keep in memory of her. I got them all divided up into their own pots and ended up enjoying caring for them, so I bought 3 more plants (Croton "Mamey" Codiaeum, Marginata Bush and a Janet Craig). I also have got many starts off of other people recently and they are all rooted now and doing well. My problem is, besides the 3 I bought I have no idea what the rest of them are. I was hoping to post a few pics at a time and once they all are figured out, I will post more until I have them all named. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.
i can't tell if the first one is a Dieffenbachia or an Aglaonema.
the second one might be an Ardisia.
third one is a Syngonium.
fourth is a holiday cactus (easter, thanksgiving, xmas type). Schlumbergera species
fifth one is a Pothos, i think, Epipremnum species.
i'll come back with links to each and proper spelling.
we're very competitive here on the ID and i am rushing!!! ROFLOL
#4 is a Schlumbergera. With the points on the leaves I would guess truncata. Which one? I couldn't begin to say. Give it lots of indirect light and hope it blooms. You'll be able to tell more then. Common names are Christmas or Easter or Thanksgiving Cacti, depending on which holiday it blooms near. Easy plants to grow with a range of blosom types. barb

I was wondering, if I took pics when they are fully grown, would you be able to tell me which species of each one? I got to looking and I think the Syngonium may be a podophyllum "nephthytis" , the Pothos may be epipremnum pinnatum, the schlumbergera may be a truncata, and im not sure on which type the Ardisia could be?? Do you think I could be correct on the others?
i was thinking Ardisia crispa. i didn't end up providing links because i'm only allowed to edit a limited number per day. all of these plants should be in the PF.
most plants, unless they are annuals, continue to grow and sometimes even change their look entirely as they get older. a better way would be when a plant flowers or lacking a significantly different flower, then, yes, as they mature.
i'm not saying me personally, but someone here will provide a correct id if at all possible. also, remember that these are just "maybe" id's i've given, not written in stone.

The only one i wasn't really sure on after looking up the ones you thought they were was the Aglaonema
one. The Ardisia's I saw had the ridged leaf edges just like mine does, the Schlumbergera is correct (just need to figure out which one it is), I believe the Pothos is a Golden Pothos, and the other one is for sure some type of Syngonium. Thank you for your help. Once they all mature i'll post new pics and try to get a definite answer, but you for sure led me in the direction where I can atleast look some of them up.
